Mr. Peter Cadapan, Senior Fishing Regulations Officer of DA-BFAR facilitator of the said training highlighted the impacts of proper catch documentation such as daily recording of quantity and value of fishes caught (tuna and other by-catch species), catch position, and their fishing activities on board.

BFAR in partnership with SFFAII facilitated a 3-day Capacity Building for the 3rd Batch of Officers and Crew of Commercial Tuna Handline Fishing Vessels on Sustainable Fisheries Management, Responsible Fishing Operations, Proper Fish Handling Onboard, catch documentation, and practical navigation was organized by from November 15-18, 2023 at London Beach Resort and Hotel.
